Outlook Settings for Basic E-mail

BACK to Basic E-mail

  1. In Control Panel, Open the Mail Application.
  2. Select "Add..."
  3. Give the new Profile a name. Select OK.
  4. Click the radio button for "Manual setup or additional server types". Select Next.
  5. Click the radio button for "POP or IMAP". Select Next.
  6. Enter in the following information:
    1. Your Name:
    2. E-mail Address: Use the full e-mail address of your new or existing account.
    3. Account Type: IMAP
    4. Incoming Server: imap.hbscloudservices.com
    5. Outgoing Server: smtp.hbscloudservices.com
    6. Username: Enter in your full e-mail address. (This should have Auto-Filled)
    7. Password: Enter in the password for your e-mail address.
    8. Leave unchecked "Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)"
    9. Select More Settings
  7. In the "Outgoing Server" Tab, check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."
  8. In the "Advanced" Tab:
    1. Incoming Server (IMAP): 993
    2. In the drop down under the "Incoming Server (IMAP)", Select "SSL/TLS"
    3. In the drop down under " Outgoing Server (SMTP)", Select "StartTLS"
    4. "Outgoing Server (SMTP)": 587
    5. Select OK
  9. Select "Next"
  10. A Dialog box will appear to test the IMAP and SMTP connections. Select Close when done.
  11. Select Finish.
  12. You are now ready to Open Outlook and start using your new account.
