Outlook Settings for Basic E-mail
Appearance
- In Control Panel, Open the Mail Application.
- Select "Add..."
- Give the new Profile a name. Select OK.
- Click the radio button for "Manual setup or additional server types". Select Next.
- Click the radio button for "POP or IMAP". Select Next.
- Enter in the following information:
- Your Name:
- E-mail Address: Use the full e-mail address of your new or existing account.
- Account Type: IMAP
- Incoming Server: imap.hbscloudservices.com
- Outgoing Server: smtp.hbscloudservices.com
- Username: Enter in your full e-mail address. (This should have Auto-Filled)
- Password: Enter in the password for your e-mail address.
- Leave unchecked "Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)"
- Select More Settings
- In the "Outgoing Server" Tab, check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."
- In the "Advanced" Tab:
- Incoming Server (IMAP): 993
- In the drop down under the "Incoming Server (IMAP)", Select "SSL/TLS"
- In the drop down under " Outgoing Server (SMTP)", Select "StartTLS"
- "Outgoing Server (SMTP)": 587
- Select OK
- Select "Next"
- A Dialog box will appear to test the IMAP and SMTP connections. Select Close when done.
- Select Finish.
- You are now ready to Open Outlook and start using your new account.
